Appearance Visual Inspection Place the sample on a white background and visually examine its color, physical state, and presence of visible foreign matter under natural light or fluorescent lighting. Pure product should be white crystals or powder, free from caking and impurities.
Assay (LiCl Content) Argentometric Method (Precipitation Titration) Titrates chloride ions using standard silver nitrate solution with potassium chromate as indicator; the endpoint is signaled by formation of brick-red Ag₂CrO₄ precipitate. LiCl content is then calculated. Suitable for samples with high chloride content.
